I’ve had many favorite moments in my life, but one that stands out is the day I got my first puppy. I was 10 years old at the time, and my parents had been talking about getting a dog for a long time. One day, they came home with a surprise for me: a small, brown and white puppy with big, floppy ears. I named her Luna, and she quickly became my best friend.

We did everything together. We went for walks in the park, played fetch in the backyard, and even slept in the same bed. Luna was always there to greet me at the door when I came home from school, and she would always make me laugh when I was feeling down. She was the most loyal and loving companion I could ever ask for.

I had Luna for 12 years, and she passed away when I was 22. It was one of the hardest days of my life, but I’ll never forget the joy she brought me. She was truly one of a kind, and I’ll always cherish the memories we made together.
