We all have different struggles. Making the decision to overcome a struggle and better ourselves can be a beautiful feeling. We know hard work is ahead, yet taking the first step often feels like a weight is being lifted. Progress is often easiest to achieve in the beginning; but what happens when we find ourselves no longer quickly checking off goals on our list?
Motivation is key. That seems obvious. The problem is knowing how to stay motivated. If we depend on others for our motivation, we will fail. Motivation needs to come from within. We have to learn how valuable positive self-talk can be. The dialogues inside of our own heads are the loudest.
Bad days happen. Mistakes will be made. Tears may even fall. Despite the circumstances, there should always be a voice, inside of your head, telling you that it will be fine. You can begin again. You will achieve every goal. You are worth it. You are not your mistakes. Always speak to yourself with love and confidence. This voice starts as a whisper, but as you begin to really believe in yourself, it becomes a loud roar. That voice will carry you through every struggle.
